Welcome to Cheshire Aesthetics Academy

Previously Moonshines Nails & Beauty since 2013, in 2026 training became our main focus and we rebranded to Cheshire Aesthetics Academy.

Don’t worry — alongside training, we still offer all aesthetics, laser, permanent makeup, and other treatments on our clinic days. Simply click “Book Treatments” to view availability.

We are based at The Barnyards in a private location, with plenty of parking and a café on site.

Our training courses are CPD-accredited, with small class sizes of just 2 students per tutor. When you train with us, you’ll receive a full, in-depth manual to keep, plenty of hands-on practical experience on the day, and ongoing lifetime support. We can also provide access to exclusive supplier discounts.

MEET YOUR TUTOR – HEATHER

With over 13 years of industry experience, Heather is the founder of Cheshire Aesthetics Academy, bringing a wealth of knowledge across beauty, laser, and advanced aesthetics. She holds Level 3, 4, and 5 regulated qualifications, alongside experience in clinical practice including phlebotomy, giving her a well-rounded approach that combines both creative and clinical skills.

Heather has been teaching laser for over 6 years and aesthetics for 4 years, with a real passion for delivering in-depth, high-quality training. Her favourite subject to teach is laser—she loves the science behind it and helping students truly understand the “why” behind their treatments.

She is passionate about raising standards within the industry. After seeing first-hand the gaps in training, she built the academy to offer something different—small groups, genuine ongoing support, and training that truly prepares students for real clients.

One of the things she dislikes most about the industry is poor training academies that promise ongoing support but disappear once they’ve taken your money. In contrast, she is committed to building a strong, supportive community where students feel guided long after their training day.

Outside of work, Heather is all about family life. She spends her downtime with her two children and her two German Shepherds, usually out on a long hike enjoying some fresh air.

MEET YOUR TUTOR – LYDIA

Lydia is one of our aesthetics trainers, bringing around 15 years of industry experience across semi-permanent makeup, laser, and advanced aesthetics. With a strong beauty background, she has also worked with some major industry brands in education, giving her a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on to her students.

Lydia specialises in skin-focused treatments and has a real passion for teaching microneedling, chemical peels, and skin boosters. She loves helping students build confidence in their technique while understanding how to achieve real, visible results for their clients.

One of Lydia’s favourite things about the industry is the opportunity to meet new people and connect with students from all different backgrounds, making every training day different. However, she finds the lack of regulation within the industry and the ongoing medic vs non-medic debate frustrating, and is passionate about promoting safe, high-quality training for all.

Outside of the academy, Lydia keeps things interesting—she’s either at a rave or at church, with not much in between! Her fun, down-to-earth personality makes her a firm favourite with students and creates a relaxed, enjoyable learning environment.

MEET YOUR TUTOR – REBECCA

Rebecca is our beauty trainer, bringing over 10 years of teaching experience into the world of aesthetics and skin. After making a complete career change four years ago, she entered the beauty industry as a total beginner—proving it’s never too late to start something new.

With a background in education, Rebecca is passionate about helping others learn and grow, and now combines the two careers she loves—teaching and beauty. She brings a supportive, encouraging approach to every training day, making sure students feel confident and capable as they progress.

Rebecca has a real passion for all things skin, with a strong interest in the science behind how the skin and body work. She loves treatments focused on skin health and wellbeing, especially facials, massage, and lymphatic drainage.

She is particularly passionate about raising standards within the industry and is driven by the importance of high-quality, supportive training.

Outside of the academy, Rebecca’s passion for wellbeing continues, with a strong interest in skin, health, and overall wellness.
